Australian Protectionist Party National Chairman and South Australian Spokesman Mr. Andrew Phillips today called upon the Federal government to reconsider its decision to recognize the new Republic of Kosovo.
“It is clear the government is making international policy on the run and gives little consideration to the welfare of Serbian families in their own territory” Mr. Phillips said. “In little more than two days, the Kosovar administration has begun erecting border posts, effectively separating entire families who have lived in the region for generations”.
The Australian Protectionist Party supports the right of the nations of the world to maintain sovereignty over their own territories and work for the welfare of their people, utilizing their own resources and defending their national interest – irrespective of their location in the world.
“What is of great concern in this case is the glaring hypocrisy in the attitude displayed by our government” Mr. Phillips continued, ” while Rudd is content to see the establishment of an independent Moslem state in the heart of Europe at a time when the world is supposedly fighting the War on Terror and Moslem youths rampage the streets of Europe in an orgy of rioting and criminal behaviour, he turns his back on the precarious position of the democratic nation of Taiwan in the face of Communist Chinese aggression”.
“While Mr. Rudd parades the world stage as a national leader, how many Serbian families will be separated, how many ancestral homes must be lost, how many lives are to be lost in jihadist campaigns throughout Europe – just to placate his ego?”
“The time has come for the government to do what is morally correct – reverse the decision, accept Serbia’s territorial integrity, because the security of Europe and the world may depend upon it” Mr. Phillips concluded.
