The Commonwealth Bank and corporate fascism
The Commonwealth Bank has been in the news recently over its Stalinist-style demands towards customers regarding how they spend their money.
Commonwealth Bank customers have reported heavy-handed tactics by the bank, demanding to know what they are doing with their money and if they are keeping cash at home – the over-the-top enquiries were accompanied by threats that if the customers didn’t roll over and provide their personal information, then the Commonwealth Bank would freeze and/or close their customers’ accounts.
How people spend their money is their business. Banks should keep their noses out of places where they don’t belong.
It should also be remembered that Australian banks have been cancelling the accounts of people involved in nationalist activity – obviously because of their political views. This sort of behaviour is beyond the pale, and should be stopped.
Corporate fascism is becoming a real problem in the modern world. It is happening in general, as with the Commonwealth Bank; and it is also happening with other corporations, regarding the political and social views of customers, whereby Woke-staffed corporations are cancelling customer accounts because the Woke apparatchiks don’t like the political views of customers.
All of this corporate fascism is something that we should be protected from by the federal government. However, considering that the current government is run by the Labor Party (which is riddled with Woke idiots, rabid Socialists, Communists, and Cultural Marxists), there is little chance of getting help from that quarter.
Australians should vote with their feet, and walk away from the big banks, and use small banks and credit unions instead. Failing that happening, it’s time that we reassess the role of corporate banks in Australia.
