Remembrance Day

On the 11th of November we remember the sacrifice of those men and women who suffered and died in military actions, serving on our behalf.

We’re All Australians Now
by “Banjo” Paterson
(extracts from Banjo’s letter to the troops, 1915)

Australia takes her pen in hand
To write a line to you,
To let you fellows understand
How proud we are of you.

From shearing shed and cattle run,
From Broome to Hobson’s Bay,
Each native-born Australian son
Stands straighter up today.

Our six-starred flag that used to fly
Half-shyly to the breeze,
Unknown where older nations ply
Their trade on foreign seas,

Flies out to meet the morning blue
With Vict’ry at the prow;
For that’s the flag the Sydney flew,
The wide seas know it now!

The mettle that a race can show
Is proved with shot and steel,
And now we know what nations know
And feel what nations feel.

Fight on, fight on, unflinchingly,
Till right and justice reign.
Fight on, fight on, till Victory
Shall send you home again.

And with Australia’s flag shall fly
A spray of wattle-bough
To symbolise our unity —
We’re all Australians now.

Lest we forget.

As a former soldier my family pay tribute to Anzac day and rememberance day. On the other hand, this useless labor government continues to let Islamic refugees from Afghanistan flood our shores, the same people we are at war with. Does not make sense and time for a government with balls to step up and take over.

    • It has got to the stage where I am feeling a foreigner in the very country I have fought for. At the Galleria, it is hard to find a blonde amongst the waves of swarthy non-english speaking hordes that fester our supermarkets, smelling like dungheaps. We have had 8 boatloads of illegals infesting our shores during the past couple of weeks….when is this s*** going to stop? Surely, there is someone in power who can see Australia going down the plug hole into a 3rd world cesspit?…
