As a new organisation, founded in September 2007, the Australian Protectionist Party will not be running any candidates in the November 2007 federal elections. In the meantime, we can recommend some candidates worth voting for. Whilst we cannot necessarily agree with all of their policies, we support them on those policies that we believe are worthwhile.
For the Senate:
Queensland
United Australia Party (Pauline Hanson)
Supports moderate industry protection and lower immigration rates, and opposes Muslim immigration.
Western Australia
Graeme Campbell and John Fischer
Support moderate industry protection and lower immigration rates.
Christian Democratic Party
Compatible family policies, opposes Muslim immigration.
New South Wales
One Nation
Supports moderate industry protection and lower immigration rates.
Victoria
One Nation
Supports moderate industry protection and lower immigration rates.
South Australia
Nick Xenophon
Opposes government making money from gambling addictions. Rejects politicians’ perks. Strong stand against drugs. Supports moderate industry protection.
