Sydney Protest – STOP the Carbon Tax! On 9th Nov. 2011

The global warming alarmists will be holding a ‘feel good’ night on Wednesday, 9th November at Sydney Town Hall. The night of scare-mongering is titled, “How the Carbon Price affects you”.

APP is calling on Sydneysiders to join us in protest against the lies peddled by Tanya Plibersek, Greg Combet and Clover Moore. The protest against the ‘enemies of the people’ will be held from 5.30pm to 6.30pm outside Lower Town Hall, which adjoins Sydney Town Hall. Regardless of your political affiliation, anti-carbon tax activists need to stand together and continue to highlight the people’s opposition to the carbon tax.

On the 12th October Gillard and her cronies passed the ‘Clean Energy Bill 2011’ in the lower house, despite Gillard making an election promise before the last federal election not to do so. Gillard said, “There will be no carbon tax under the government I lead”. Gillard and Rudd sealed the deal with a fake kiss (matching their fake promises) in Parliament whilst the gallery exploded into shouts of “No carbon tax”, “Democracy is dead” and “No Mandate”. It is no wonder a large proportion of the public view Gillard with contempt and mistrust.

The people of Australia know exactly what carbon pricing will do. Carbon pricing will further de-industrialise our economy, send billions of dollars offshore every year, push living costs through the roof, and cost many Australian workers their jobs for no environmental benefit. The carbon tax is masquerading as an environmental tax, but in reality it is a tax which will redistribute middle class and industrial wealth to the coffers of government, the United Nations, foreign banks and greedy speculators.

Even though the destructive carbon tax legislation has now passed both houses, all is not lost –as the carbon tax can be repealed. In the meantime, anti-carbon tax activists have a responsibility to maintain the rage against the Labor-Green party machine and its venomous propaganda.

The protest will start at 5.30pm and finish at 6.30pm. The forum goes from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. There will be a range of Guest Speakers and Panelists available for questions. Tickets are free and essential; they are available from City’s Angel Place Box Office on 8256-2222 or www.cityrecitalhall.com.

  1. I cannot understand how the carbon tax has been passed and will come into effect on the 1st of July 2012 when so many people did not want it?????

Why such a small country as ours brings in a tax like this when the BIG countries that are making most of the carbon don't pay anything. Being Australian born in this country is a handcap, we who have paid our taxes over many years are now footing the bill for everything this stupid government does, now a new tax coming in and it wont stop there.

Hi There, I like the policies of this new party, and would support it if you could gaurantee me that it is not one of those "fly by night" parties that just come and go because of the leader's ego. Cheers, Fred Sanstrom.

    • The party is here to stay, it's growing strong!

The party has been around for more then 4 years now and it's leaders/members are still true to it.

      Hi Fred,

APP leaders recognise that Australia is in a long term battle for our survival and that there's no political quick fixes. APP is in it for the long haul. We're one of the fastest growing political movements in this country. So why not get on board?
