A TORRENT of indignation from outraged Alabamians, including a rap from the state’s Governor, yesterday sent Kevin Rudd into damage control over his comment about Alabamian “rednecks” in response to a joke by comedian Robin Williams.
“I’m going to go to the zoo and punch a kangaroo in protest,” one reader emailed the Alabama The Birmingham News .
The Prime Minister defended his comment yesterday as “a light-hearted joke”.
He told The Weekend Australian he had no doubt that “Alabama is a wonderful state” after his comment drew a formal response from Alabama Governor Bob Riley.
maybe they should keep him hin the zoo for further entertainment..Always knew the yanks could’nt take a joke on them..
