Hi APP, I am an ex-soldier. When soldiers are sent to fight some war that is deemed controversial back home, the best support is WORDS , not food packages. Soldiers want to know that people back home see them as heroes and appreciate what they do. I suggest developing a page in APP website -"Support our troops" The page would collect messages to our soldiers, cheering them up. people should be asked to pass the link to that page to as many people as they can. It can be mentioned that people may have different opinions on that war, but we are united by one opinion – Aussie soldiers are our heroes and we are all behind them 100%.

I dont know how up to date your information is but Defence cancelled Operation Slipper about two weeks ago. There was no reason given for the cancellation but it stands to reason that the authorities cannot risk foriegn materia,l such as poison, being injected into foodstuff. Of course to be politically correct Defence cannot mention why and who would be the prime suspect.
